CT United enters Sunday's match on a surge up the table in the Eastern Conference. The Coywolves are seventh in the Eastern Conference on 34 points, just nine points off the top of the table. Sunday’s matchup will be a test for CT United, with New England sitting third in the Eastern Conference.
The upcoming match will be the third and final meeting between the two clubs this season. New England claimed the first meeting 2-0 back in March, before CT United answered with a penalty-shootout win in May. Sunday's contest decides which side claims the head-to-head advantage in the season series and New England Derby bragging rights.

Several players led the charge in last week's win over Orlando City B.
Forward Barnabas Tanyi continued his scorching scoring form, netting a brilliant goal to bring his season total to ten, good for 5th in MLS Next Pro. Tanyi has now produced ten goals and assists combined over his last nine matches, continuing to establish his place as one of MLS NEXT Pro’s premier attacking options.
Midfielder Dylan Lacy delivered a goal and an assist, along with creating two chances and completing three passes into the final third. Lacy continues to be one of the most complete players on the roster, coming into his own this season as he plays further up the field.
Defender Andre Applewhaite scored the equalizer on a free kick last week, marking his second consecutive match finding the net. Applewhaite played a full 90 minutes for the fifth straight game, quickly establishing himself as an anchor of Coach Shavar Thomas’s lineup.
