Connecticut (August 26, 2026) - CT United FC returns to Connecticut on Saturday to face Red Bull New York II in the third and final meeting between the two clubs this season. The Coywolves enter the matchup following a 4-2 road victory over Philadelphia Union II, winning the season series and extending their run to three consecutive road victories over eight days. CT United has climbed to third place in the Eastern Conference with 43 points.
Saturday’s match marks CT United’s first-ever appearance in Bridgeport, returning to the city where the club’s story began. CT United was formally introduced in Bridgeport, Connecticut’s most populous city, in January 2024. The club also created its Park City Purple home jersey color in honor of the city.

Coywolves Recent Form
CT United has surged into third place in the Eastern Conference after winning its last three road matches across an eight-day stretch. The Coywolves enter Saturday with 43 points, while sixth-place Red Bull New York II sits just two points behind with 41.
Saturday’s matchup will be the third and final meeting between CT United and Red Bull New York II this season. The Coywolves have won both previous meetings and will look to complete the season sweep on home soil in Bridgeport.
CT United continues to rank among MLS NEXT Pro’s most dangerous attacking teams, leading the league with 93 big chances created and ranking second with 6.0 shots on target per match.

Several players delivered standout performances in Sunday’s 4-2 road victory over Philadelphia Union II.
Dylan Lacy opened the scoring in the first minute, setting the tone for CT United’s four-goal performance. Lacy consistently challenged Philadelphia in the red zone and recorded six recoveries during the match. His 26 successful crosses rank fifth in MLS NEXT Pro, providing a consistent source of service for the Coywolves’ attack.
Bryan Destin delivered a two-goal performance, taking a match-high five shots and tying for the match-high with six touches in the opposition box. Destin’s dangerous runs in behind Philadelphia’s back line created consistent problems for the defense. He has now scored four goals across his last three matches and was named MLS NEXT Pro’s Player of Matchweek 25 after scoring three goals across two matches during the matchweek.
Barnabás Tanyi continued his impressive scoring form, scoring a goal and adding an assist in the victory. Tanyi’s 12 goals lead the Coywolves and rank fifth in MLS NEXT Pro, while his 34 shots on target rank third in the league. His dangerous runs in behind consistently forced Philadelphia to play on the back foot and created space for the Coywolves’ attack. Tanyi has also recorded six assists this season.
